Games on and games off…

A number of games have been rescheduled
A number of games have been rescheduled

Given there have been a few changes to the fixtures in the coming weeks, here is a quick reminder of those games that have been either cancelled or moved.

First up, the Otway Cup semi-final between Leominster Town and Newbridge that was due to be played today – Sunday 28 March – is off as Leominster couldn’t raise a side.

Newbridge receive a bye through to the final where they will take on either Presteigne St Andrews or Hay St Marys.   This final is likely to be on Sunday 16 May.

In the Sparey Cup, Leominster Town Reserves will host Shobdon on Wednesday 31 March with the winners then taking on Presteigne Reserves in the semi-final on Sunday 11 April.   The second semi-final between Talgarth Town and Hay St Marys Reserves will be played on Sunday 18 April with the final due to be staged on Sunday 9 May.

The three outstanding semi-finals and the Otway and Sparey finals will all be played at Llanandras Park.

The first team’s fixture against Dyffryn Banw that was due to be played next Saturday – 3 April – has been postponed due to Dyffryn Banw’s Central Wales Cup commitments and will now be played on Wednesday 21 April (kick off 7.30pm).

The outstanding Bucknell Cup semi-final between CP Llanandras and Presteigne Reserves will be played on Wednesday 14 April (kick off 7.30pm) with the final due to take place at Bucknell on Sunday 18 April.

However, in the event of a monsoon on 14 April leading to the game being called off, both CP Llanandras and Presteigne Reserves have agreed that the result of their league meeting on Saturday 3 April would then also double up as the Bucknell Cup semi-final result.

Hope this helps clarify things – and that you were paying attention as we shall be asking questions later….  probably at the club quiz on Thursday 1 April – have you entered a team yet?   If you want to register your interest in having a team in the quiz, then email us here and I will pass on the details to Dot Griffiths.
