Many congratulations to those who were the top prize-winners in Presteigne St Andrews’ Christmas Draw which was held at The Royal Oak on Sunday 19 December.
The first prize of £50.00 went to Michelle Hewins from Whitton who works at Framewise, while Mrs P Adderley from Kinsham was the lucky winner of the meal for two at the Royal Oak.
Anne-Marie Roberts picked up the third prize – a very swish hamper as donated by the Chairman and Mrs Chairman.
Presteigne’s vice-chairman Dot Griffiths was the driving force behind the draw and she said that – given the dreadful weather conditions of the past few weeks – it had been a big success.
“We had 39 prizes donated in total so we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who either donated prizes, sold or bought tickets,” she said.
“We raised a total of more than £600.00 which considering all things, wasn’t a bad result.,” she added.
Prizes will be delivered to the lucky recipients over the next week or so – snowfall permitting.
