The first-team match report on the 3-2 home defeat by Aberystwyth University is now up online – my thanks to Barry Williams for providing his thoughts on the Friday-night game.

Barry admitted to being very disappointed to have come out of this game with nothing to show for their efforts but he felt his side had gifted the students at least two of their goals.

You can read Barry’s thoughts on the match by clicking on the ‘First Team’ tab at the top of the page.

Meanwhile, there is a busy week of football on the way at Llanandras Park, starting on Monday evening when the Under 18s are due to take on Llandrindod Wells in a HFA Floodlit Youth League match.

There is a detailed preview of that game on the Under 18s page of the site but manager Trevor Gummer tells me he has a squad of 16 from which to select for the game.

This is the first meeting with Llandrindod Wells in the league this season, but the visitors have a decent record of seven wins and two defeats from their opening nine matches of the league season.

If you are planning on attending the Under 18s game, I will save you the bother of asking on the gate(!) – yes, there is an admission charge and it is: £2.00 for adults, £1.00 for senior citizens and youngsters under the age of 16 – as we always say, those match officials don’t pay themselves, and those floodlights don’t run for free….
