Sparey Cup semi-final on Easter Sunday

Presteigne St Andrews FC
Sparey Cup action on Easter Sunday

The outstanding Alfred Sparey Cup semi-final between Knighton Town and Newcastle will be played at Llanandras Park on Sunday 24 April.

The kick off for this game is at 4.30pm and admission prices for the game will be £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for senior citizens and youngsters under the age of 16.

This should be a decent match as it will be second against third in the Mid Wales League (South) table and so here’s hoping that it lives up to the billing.

The kick off was deliberately set later in the day in an effort to attract a few more supporters down to Llanandras Park for this one – the perfect way to round off your Easter Sunday.

It is hoped to have the result of the game up online at some stage on Sunday evening – the winners will face Builth Wells Reserves who qualified for the final after a 2-1 win over Presteigne Reserves.

The Alfred Sparey Cup final is due to take place on Sunday 15 May when the kick off will be at 2.30pm.
