Reserves boss Andy Crowe will have another midweek game to fit in

Presteigne Reserves’ manager Andy Crowe has confirmed their scheduled trip to Bronllys on Saturday 30 April has been postponed and will now have to be rescheduled as a midweek match.

Bronllys let ‘Crowie’ know this afternoon that they were struggling for a pitch for the game and so he has agreed to rescheduling the match at a later date.

“I am pretty sure they have been sharing with Talgarth lately as the school pitch down there is being reseeded,” he said.

“But Talgarth have a home game on Saturday, so clearly that meant we couldn’t play on there until about 6.00pm.

“Some of our lads have got a wedding party in Hereford that evening, though so, while they could get there easily after a 2.30pm kick off, they were never going to make it if we didn’t start the game until 6.00pm or 6.30pm,” he added.

Presteigne Reserves will still be in action this weekend as they are due to play in the Builth Spa Cup final on Sunday 1 May.

They don’t yet know their opponents in that game as the other semi-final is yet to be played, although it is thought it is due to take place either this evening or tomorrow night.
