Congratulations to Newbridge FC who won the Presteigne Otway Cup final on Sunday 22 May when they beat Talgarth Town 2-0 at Llanandras Park.

Newbridge took the trophy courtesy of a goal in each half with Jordan Cooper netting the first and Steve Morgan then putting the result beyond doubt with a late second goal.

Our thanks to all the clubs who took part in this season’s competition and congratulations to everyone connected with Newbridge FC, especially perhaps  Adriano Girolami for whom this was yet another appearance in an Otway Cup final as either player or manager (or both).

Presteigne St Andrews FC are grateful to Tony Wood and Adrian and Sally Underhill from the Royal Oak who jointly sponsored the final.

Also, many thanks to Phil and Zoe Randell who kindly agreed to sponsor the match ball for the game which marked the end of competitive football at Llanandras Park for another season.

Once again we would like to thank officials from all competing clubs for their cooperation in ensuring the competition ran as smoothly as possible given we had the worst winter for a generation.
