Congratulations to Presteigne St Andrews FC’s captain Max Powell who has been named the Spar Mid Wales League’s player of the month for April and May.
In what has clearly been a difficult campaign for everyone connected with the Llanandras Park club it is testimony to Max’s consistent showings over the closing stages of the season that he won the award.
It was a good way to round off the season and I am sure everyone attending tonight’s dinner will raise a glass to Max’s success – as well as a few other glasses, too….
Just a reminder that tonight’s dinner is 7.00pm for 7.30pm – a quick chat with several people around the town this morning came up with a variety of start times but please do try and get there on time as we are looking for a prompt start.
Our grateful thanks to those committee members and friends of the club who have hauled tables and chairs and also those who turned up on Friday evening to shift the bench seating out of the clubhouse to make room for tonight’s festivities.
Advance warning – it is likely we will be shifting the tables back at some stage on Sunday morning so are likely to be looking for a few volunteers to help out..
