Presteigne St Andrews FC’s Under 18s reportedly came away from Leominster Minors with a 2-2 draw in their HFA Floodlit Youth League match.
Despite my best efforts to make contact with manager Roy Simcock – I am on first-name terms with his voicemail – I couldn’t track him down.
But, such is the way of the modern world that the good old (or new) social media came to the rescue as first-team manager Trevor Gummer posted the result on twitter.
‘@psafc_football under 18’s come away from Leominster town with a 2-2 draw. Unlucky not too take all 3 points’.
I have no details yet as to goalscorers or how the scoring went, but then twitter restricts Trev (and everyone else) to 140 characters!
As soon as I do get details I will add them to the page, but four points from six from two away games in a week is not a bad return.
