Radnorshire Cup Final success for Llan’dod

Presteigne St Andrews FCLlandrindod Wells won the Radnorshire Cup final when they beat Knighton Town 3-0 in the final played at Llanandras Park on Monday, 9 April.

I haven’t too many details of the game as I had to take a ‘work break’ across the Bank Holiday weekend, so was unable to be there, but early reports Llan’dod were good value for their victory.

Once again, many thanks to those committee members and friends of the club who agreed to give up their Bank Holiday Monday to help out.

The way it worked is that the Radnorshire Cup committee take the gate money while they also benefit from the proceeds of the draw carried out on the day.

But Presteigne St Andrews benefits from the bar takings, while there is also the kudos involved in staging the county cup final.

It was a major weekend for the clubs with events on Thursday, Saturday and then the Radnorshire Cup Final on Monday, so many thanks to those who pretty much spent their Easter weekend down at Llanandras Park to ensure it all went off smoothly.
