Preview of the weekend action

Presteigne St Andrews FC
Trev Gummer will be looking for a good performance with which to end the season

Presteigne St Andrews FC will bring down the curtain on their Spar Mid Wales League second division season with a long trip to Aberaeron.

While there is nothing on this game for Trevor Gummer’s side other than playing for pride, Aberaeron have plenty to play for as they are still chasing the league title.

Aberaeron head into the weekend in second place in the table – a point behind leaders Llandrindod Wells, but with three games in hand.

This will be Trevor’s last game in charge of the first team so, whatever the result, let’s hope the squad puts in a good showing for him.

Meanwhile, the Reserves will be at Llanandras Park for their home game against a Builth Wells Reserves side that is in third place in the Mid Wales League (South) table.

The Lant Field club’s second string has lost only five times in the league this season and has won seven games on the road, so they are likely to pose quite a threat for Stuart Skidmore’s side.

If you are planning on heading down to Llanandras Park to cheer on the Reserves, then the kick off will be at 2.30pm

Admission prices for the Reserves’ game will be £2.00 for adults, £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
